Illustrated tote bag for Bancomat

I am very happy to have been involved in the creation of the image for the Bancomat and Banco Alimentare tote bag. During the Salone dei Pagamenti in Milan, Bancomat wanted to pay homage to the people who decided to support Banco Alimentare with a donation.

As requested by the client, the illustration had to encapsulate the essence of this collaboration. One of the essential things that we take for granted in a wealthy society is wheat; it took the conflict in Ukraine to make us realize how important it is. In the wake of this thought, I wanted to represent four boys holding hands and crossing a wheat field, tracing the shape of a fork (an element that has now become a symbol linked to food). The problem was to include the presence of Bancomat, which is important, but which did not want to take away space from Banco Alimentare.
Thanks to a brainstorming session between me, Arianna and Paola from the WeLookAround agency, whom I thank very much, after years of having the Bancomat logo under my nose, I discovered from Paola that the “B” is a seagull. It is no coincidence that you find a seagull on the top left that watches over the wheat field observing the scene from above. I hope I have honored the slogan of Banco Alimentare which states "sharing the value of food".

I thank the agency WeLookAround for involving me and of course Bancomat and Banco Alimentare for this wonderful opportunity.
